Ravenna softball’s Emma Herremans wins CSN Performance of the Week poll

Emma Herremans has continued her early-season tear for Ravenna’s softball team and voters have noticed.

The freshman won the CatchMark SportsNet Performance of the Week fan poll for April 11-16, 2022.

Herremans collected 287 of 613 total votes cast in the poll. Oakridge softball’s Kaelinn Jozsa was second with 218 votes. See the closed poll below.

Herremans had a big day at the plate in a West Michigan Conference sweep of visiting Mason County Central last Thursday, 15-0 and 24-0. The left-handed slugger went with three triples and a home run for the unbeaten Bulldogs. She was especially impressive in the second game, going 3-for-3 with a home and two triples.

Ravenna is unbeaten on the young season. A highly anticipated doubleheader at Oakridge looms on May 3. The Bulldogs and Eagles shared the conference title last season.
