On Wednesday, CatchMark SportsNet unveiled the 2022 VanDyk Mortgage West Michigan Conference Player of the Year finalists for seven fall sports. We detailed season accomplishments for three finalists in each sport.
Now it’s time for our readers to take over. You decide the Players of the Year.
A CatchMark panel comprised of Scott DeCamp, Conner Raeth and Tate Stine determined the finalists in each sport, but it’s up to you to decide who wins the awards.
Fan polls opened at 8 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, and they will close at 8 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23. Readers will be allowed to vote once per hour in each poll.
All Player of the Year finalists are invited to an awards presentation 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Viking Athletic Center in Whitehall. Trophies and certificates will be awarded. A trophy that stays in our CatchMark office in Whitehall will have the names of all Players of the Year engraved on it.

Why is it when I vote , I don’t see a change in the number of votes

Hi, Connie. Sometimes, when a lot of people are voting at once, the system gets bogged down and so you may not see your vote reflected immediately. I’ll tell you, however, that votes are being counted.
I just double-checked and votes are indeed being counted.

Why are people allowed to vote more than once. Dies this nit then become a popularity contest instead of player of the year. As a grandparent I do not have the time nor the know hue to sit and vote every hour. I read about each player, their achievements and vote.
Would that not be a more accurate count to who the 2022 player of spring Michigan sports player is. Thank you for your time.
