BOYS BASKETBALL

Shelby 56, Montague 51

Shelby built a strong lead through three quarters and held off a late Montague rally to secure the win. The Tigers led 35-21 at halftime and 48-34 after three before Montague outscored Shelby 17-8 in the fourth, falling just short.

Manistee 73, Oakridge 38

Manistee took control early and never looked back, opening a 16-3 lead after one quarter and extending it to 44-14 by halftime on the way to the WMC-Lakes win.

Ravenna 63, Holton 28

Ravenna pulled away in the second quarter with a 22-2 scoring run and cruised to the WMC-Rivers victory. Dylan May reached the 1,000-career point milestone in the win.

Western Michigan Christian 47, Spring Lake 36

Western Michigan Christian set the tone early and sealed the road win at the free-throw line. Spring Lake struggled shooting, finishing 31% from the floor and 1-of-15 from three-point range.

After a tight first half, Ludington exploded in the third quarter with a 26-11 run to pull away for the WMC-Lakes victory.

Orchard View built a first-half lead and withstood a Montague push in the second half to earn the conference win.

Ludington 62, Manistee 34

Ludington used relentless pressure defense to burst ahead early and cruise to a WMC-Lakes win. The Orioles led 22-8 after the first quarter, 34-17 at halftime, and 54-27 after three.

Montague edged Holton in a tight one, leading 20-17 at halftime and 29-24 after three before holding on late for the three-point win.
