How the Player of the Year winners are determined
The 2025–26 Player of the Year – Winter Edition poll will determine winners based on:
- Team success
- Statistics
- Leadership qualities
- Overall performance
Three finalists in each sport were selected through a panel evaluation.
How voting works
Winners will be decided using a combination of panel voting and public voting:
Panel Voting and Ranking
Panelists rank the finalists:
- 1st place = 3 points
- 2nd place = 2 points
- 3rd place = 1 point
Public Voting
For every 1,000 public votes, an athlete earns 1 point.
Final scoring
The total points from both methods will determine the winners. In the event of a tie, the panel will make the final decision.
- Formula:
- (Panel Rank) + (Popular Vote Total / 1000) = Final Score
Now that you know how it works, check out the nominees and dive into the polls below to cast your vote!
