Fletcher Thommen – Montague Wrestling
Fletcher Thommen was utterly dominant on the mat, improving to 16–0 on the season while winning his second consecutive tournament championship. He captured the title with three technical falls, allowing just 13 total points, all unearned escapes, while intentionally cutting opponents to focus on takedowns. Thommen finished all three matches in a combined 6:26 of mat time and totaled 18 takedowns, a level of control and efficiency that is rarely seen. His performance was overwhelming and technically flawless.
Liam Copenhaver – Reeths-Puffer Bowling
Liam Copenhaver put together the single highest individual total reported this week, capturing first place individually at the Orchard View Cardinal Invitational with a 410 series (187, 223). His 223 game was one of the top single games across both boys and girls competitions, and he helped lead Reeths-Puffer to a finals appearance. His scoring output and tournament win earn him a spot on the list.
Natalie Rosel – Ravenna Girls Basketball
Natalie put together a week that simply can’t be matched statistically across sports. She posted a triple-double against Oakridge with 34 points, 13 rebounds, 10 steals, and 3 assists, then followed it up with a double-double against Sparta (22 points, 10 rebounds). Across six games this season she is averaging 21.3 points and 10 rebounds per game, showing dominance on both ends of the floor. Her ability to impact scoring, defense, and rebounding at an elite level makes her the top athlete of the week.
