Lamar Bradford – Muskegon Football
In a rain-soaked playoff showdown, Muskegon quarterback Lamar Bradford delivered a performance for the ages. The senior powered the Big Reds to victory over rival Mona Shores with 211 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 37 carries, while also completing 3 of 4 passes for 72 yards and a score. Bradford’s relentless ground attack and late six-yard touchdown run with just over a minute remaining sealed the 39-34 win, cementing his status as the game’s standout performer.
Gentry Knop – Montague Volleyball
Gentry Knop of Montague delivered an exceptional all-around performance this season, solidifying herself as one of the area’s top volleyball players. She led the conference in aces (91 total, 1.02 per set) and ranked second in digs (580 total, 6.52 per set), showcasing her dominance both at the service line and in the back row. Knop reached a major career milestone by recording her 1,000th career dig during Montague’s pre-district victory over Oakridge, where she tallied an impressive 36 digs to help lead the Wildcats to a comeback win. Her ability to combine consistent serve pressure, elite defensive coverage, and steady leadership made her a key factor in Montague’s postseason success and the standout overall performer among her peers.
Bryce Colbert – North Muskegon Football
North Muskegon quarterback Bryce Colbert turned in a stellar performance to lead the Norse to a dominant 48–6 district semifinal win over Saranac. The senior signal-caller showcased poise and precision, completing 14 of 20 passes for 260 yards and five touchdowns, while expertly reading the defense and adjusting plays at the line of scrimmage. Colbert’s command of the offense kept Saranac off balance all afternoon, sparking multiple big-play drives and helping North Muskegon build a commanding halftime lead. His leadership and accuracy were key in propelling the Norse into the Division 7 district final.
