We want to take a moment to thank the coaches and teams who have participated in our Stats Project this season. Your time, effort, and willingness to share information have been greatly appreciated, and the project would not have been possible without your support.
After reviewing participation data, we have made the decision to discontinue the Stats Project at this time. While there was interest and effort from several teams, overall participation was both low and inconsistent. Currently, stats were being submitted by less than 42% of teams, which made it difficult to accurately reflect performance across all teams and competitions.
For a stats project like this to be successful and accurate, it requires consistent weekly stat submissions from coaches so averages and leaders can be calculated fairly and reliably, along with timely stats after each game to keep reporting current and relevant. When we’re missing regular weekly submissions—or only receiving partial stats—weekly leaders, averages, and highlights can become incomplete and may not represent the full picture across all teams.
Moving forward, we will continue to share game results and highlight achievements in a more streamlined way. Coaches are still encouraged to submit game stats after each game, along with milestone accomplishments such as 1,000-point scorers, record-breaking performances, and other notable achievements.
In addition, we’ll be pivoting to introduce more crowd-sourced content for fans and followers. Each week, we’ll post a prompt asking viewers to respond with who they think had the highest stat line (and why). This will give the community a fun way to engage, celebrate standout performances, and share highlights—even when full team-wide stats aren’t available.
We appreciate everyone who contributed to the Stats Project and thank the coaching community for their continued cooperation and support. Our goal remains the same: to provide accurate, relevant, and timely information while highlighting the accomplishments of our athletes and teams.
Thank you for being part of our community.
