CatchMark to livestream Muskegon Risers arena soccer: Action starts this weekend

We’ll be offering live video feeds of men’s and women’s soccer games from Mercy Health Arena in Muskegon.

The Muskegon Risers men’s and women’s teams will return to Mercy Health Arena in downtown Muskegon this weekend for indoor soccer action.

CatchMark SportsNet will be in the house.

Recently, a four-year arena soccer broadcasting deal was announced between CatchMark and the Risers. If you cannot make it to the arena, CatchMark and the Risers have you covered.

CatchMark will kick off livestreams of Risers games this weekend. On Friday, the Risers men’s team hosts the Cleveland Crunch at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the women’s squad plays the Grand Rapids Wanderers at 4:30 p.m., followed by the men’s team taking on the Chicago Mustangs at 7 p.m.

With an abundance of COVID-19 protocol changes, the Risers want to ensure fans will have opportunities to view games if they’re unable to attend in person. Spectators may now watch via livestream for $6.25 per game, which includes fees.

Each week, the livestream link will be posted on the CatchMark SportsNet website (catchmarksports.com) and the Muskegon Risers site, where fans may purchase access.

“CatchMark is excited to become a partner with the Muskegon Risers and to livestream their arena games,” said CatchMark Technologies managing partner Brent Raeth. “Downtown Muskegon is coming alive as an entertainment hot spot, including the remodeled Mercy Health Arena, the indoor home of the Risers.

“CatchMark has enjoyed much success with its livestreams in other sports, such as football and basketball, and looks forward to providing viewers with a great experience as they follow the Risers.”

The livestream agreement between CatchMark and the Risers extends through 2025, which encompasses men’s and women’s arena games.

Matt Schmitt, Risers director of operations, said that the organization believes in collaborating through local partnerships and that CatchMark shares with the Risers a passion for the Muskegon Lakeshore area.

“We have challenged Brent and his team at CatchMark to produce broadcast quality that will be appealing to regional and national audiences as we continue to find creative ways for more people to learn about our community and enjoy Risers arena soccer,” Schmitt said.

“With multiple cameras, motion graphics, a crew of announcers, and in-stream advertising, both parties expect the quality of Risers arena soccer broadcasts through CatchMark SportsNet to resemble national networks over the course of this partnership.”
