Drew Naymick has always stood out. That will happen as a 6-foot-10 redhead.
At the same time, the former North Muskegon High School basketball star and ex-Michigan State big man has always been a level-headed guy. That has not changed, even after a professional playing career overseas.
Naymick is back home now in North Muskegon. He was the featured guest on Episode 20 of the CatchMark SportsNet Podcast, brought to you by VanDyk Mortgage.
Naymick joined podcast co-hosts Zach Zweigle, Brent Raeth and Scott DeCamp to discuss several different topics centering around his days in North Muskegon, at MSU and overseas, such as in Greece and Japan.
Here are some of the specific topics:
- How many gawkers he attracts because of his height
- Baseball may have been his first love
- Coming up just short in the state quarterfinals his senior year against future MSU teammate Marquise Gray
- Tough love from Tom Izzo at MSU and how the Spartans program is a brotherhood
- And much more!
