CSN Podcast: Ex-Muskegon Big Red multi-sporter relishes life as North Muskegon parent

Paul Young stops by for a visit with co-hosts Zach Zweigle, Brent Raeth and Scott DeCamp.

Paul Young starred in baseball at Muskegon High School, where he also played football and wrestled in the mid-1990s.

After heading out of state for college and meeting his wife, Jill, they moved back to the area and made a home in North Muskegon. The Youngs are Norsemen through and through now, as are their four children.

Paul Young visited CatchMark Monday (March 14, 2022) as guest for Episode 21 of the CatchMark SportsNet Podcast, sponsored by VanDyk Mortgage.

On the pod, Young shares that while he’s still a Big Red at heart, he’s all-in with the Norsemen. This school year, sons Champ and James Young have played varsity football and basketball together.

Some of the other topics on the podcast:

  • What’s it like being a parent to four athletes, three of them boys?
  • Who does Young pick as the top basketball players in the West Michigan Conference?
  • Who is his pick for the NCAA Tournament?
  • What does he think about travel sports?

And much, much more.
