Vikings finish as Division 3 team state runner-up again and boast fuve all-staters, led by state champ Gavin Craner.

It was another special season for Whitehall’s wrestling team in 2023-24.

Whitehall finished as Division 3 state runner-up again to Dundee, capping the team portion of the season with a 29-4 record.

Individually, the Vikings boasted four all-staters, led by 175-pound state champ Gavin Craner. He finished 54-0 to give Whitehall an unbeaten wrestler for the fourth straight season. Darnell Mack, Nolan Taranko, Jason Smith and Kolten Weiler also earned all-state accolades.

Along the way, Whitehall captured another Greater Muskegon Athletic Association title plus West Michigan Conference, district, and regional crowns.
