RAVENNA — Ravenna’s girls soccer team has played in quite a few tight games this season, some going the Bulldogs’ way and others not.

Monday’s competitive West Michigan Conference match against visiting Montague went Ravenna’s way, 3-2, thanks to lights-out performances by a pair of ‘Dogs sophomores.

Monroe Wilde made 21 saves, while Taryn Marsman scored all three of Ravenna’s goals for the hat trick. Isabelle Emery notched an assist for the Bulldogs.

Ava Pelton tallied both goals for Montague, both on corner kicks.

Ravenna (4-6-2 overall, 2-4-1 WMC) visits Whitehall (4-6-1, 3-4-1) tonight in another conference match, while Montague (9-5-1, 4-2-1) hosts Manistee (2-8-1, 1-6-0).
