Ex-Montague star QB and coach Cody Kater chats with Wildcats on Weekly Coaches Show

It’s been a while since Cody Kater has put on a Montague football uniform. Not so long ago, he was on the Wildcats’ coaching staff.

Kater is Reeths-Puffer’s head coach now, but he’s moonlighting as host for the VanDyk Mortgage West Michigan Conference Weekly Coaches Show. This week, he got the chance to catch up with a couple of Montague players as well as the Wildcats’ second-year head coach.

Senior quarterback Chase Gowell and senior receiver/defensive back/return man Owen Petersen joined head coach Justin Dennett on the show with Kater in advance of this Friday’s “Battle for the Bell” showdown at Whitehall.

Whitehall was the first team featured on the Weekly Coaches Show two weeks ago, as defensive coordinator Keith Stratton and senior brothers Jackson and Shane Cook joined Kater.
