Gavin Reames and Paschal Jolman’s clever 2-point conversion wins CatchMark Play of the Week (Oct. 11 – Oct. 16)

After the poll closed on Friday afternoon, voters have determined that Gavin Reames and Paschal Jolman’s clever 2-point conversion was CatchMark’s Play of the Week. The senior-junior combo has led the Trojans to a 4-4 overall record this season in a talented OK-Blue conference. Hudsonville Unity Christian, Grand Rapids West Catholic, and Spring Lake all compete in the league. in addition, two of Fruitport’s losses were by less than a touchdown.

In the winning play, Fruitport quarterback Gavin Reames fakes a pass and completes a no-look, behind-the-back pitch to running back Paschal Jolman to complete a two-point conversion just before the half in Fruitport’s 22-14 victory over Allendale last Friday. Jolman ended with game-high 184 rushing yards.

The timely highlight received 55.9% of the total vote, landing him in the number one spot. Red Watson followed with a runner-up finish receiving 25.5%.
