Starting off the 2025-26 volleyball season, we’ve already had some exciting matchups this week. Five teams are still undefeated in conference play, and each of them looks ready to make a push for the title as the season gets rolling.
Take a look at this weeks first conference games!
Hart V Shelby
Hart came out firing and never really let Shelby settle in, taking the match in straight sets. The Pirates cruised through the first two, winning 25-13 and 25-15. Shelby battled back in the third and made it tight, but Hart held strong to close it out 26-24.
Ludington V Whitehall
Right alongside them, Ludington put together a strong performance of their own against Whitehall. Both teams showed up ready to compete, but it was the Orioles who came out on top in three straight sets. They had to earn every point, winning 28-26, 29-27, and 25-20. Each set was up for grabs, but Ludington found a way to finish when it counted most.
Manistee V Orchard View
Manistee kept the trend going, taking down Orchard View in three sets to stay perfect in conference play. The first set went down to the wire, with the Mariners pulling out a 28-26 win. From there, they found their rhythm and closed it out 25-18 and 25-20. Orchard View showed fight, but Manistee proved they had the edge.
Fremont V Oakridge
To round things out, Fremont handled business against Oakridge, picking up another sweep. The Packers set the tone with a 25-21 win in the first set, then rolled to a dominant 25-12 victory in the second. Oakridge tried to rally in the third, but Fremont stayed in control and closed it out 25-21.
