Mason Mulnix leads Whitehall rally past Oakridge in WMC boys soccer

Vikings rally from two-goal deficit with three tallies in final 20 minutes.

WHITEHALL — For 60 minutes, Oakridge held the upper hand over Whitehall in a West Michigan Conference boys soccer match Wednesday night.

The final 20 minutes belonged to the host Vikings, however.

Whitehall rallied from a two-goal deficit with three tallies in the final 20 minutes to notch a 3-2 victory over Oakridge.

Whitehall junior Mason Mulnix tallied two of the three goals, including what proved to be the game-winner with 7:43 remaining in the contest. Finn Muller scored the other goal for the Vikings (6-7-0 overall, 5-3-0 WMC).

Michael Thompson and Vitek Benes notched goals for Oakridge (7-7-1, 4-4-1).

Andon Palmer recorded 10 saves for Whitehall.
