MONTAGUE — Natalie Kellogg built an impressive resume in her three years with the Montague girls golf program.

She added another section to that resume on Friday afternoon, when she was celebrated for signing to play golf at Division II Lake Superior State University.

Kellogg was joined by family, friends and members of the Wildcat golf team during Friday’s signing ceremony in the Montague High School cafeteria.

Kellogg was a Division 4 first-team all-stater by the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association this season. She finished fifth at the Division 4 state finals tournament at The Meadows on the campus of Grand Valley State University. She had qualified for the state finals in a three-person playoff for two spots in the regional at Moss Ridge in Ravenna.

Kellogg was an All-West Michigan Conference selection and a member of Montague’s back-to-back state championship golf teams in 2020 and 2021.

Outside of golf, Kellogg is a serious canoe racer and she also plays softball at Montague. She plans to study pre-med in college.

“I’m most excited about the college experience in general,” she said. “I am moving up there because I love being in northern Michigan and I am most excited to be in the area, to experience all those things and just play golf.”
