Montague to host ‘Miracle Minute Fundraiser’ for senior Tyler Snyder

Funds will be raised during Thursday’s Montague-Whitehall boys basketball game.

Montague High School is scheduled to host a “Miracle Minutes Fundraiser” for Montague senior Tyler Snyder during the boys varsity basketball game against Whitehall on Thursday, Feb 10.

Between the first and second quarters of the varsity game, Montague DECA students will move up and down the bleachers for a couple minutes to collect donations for Tyler and his family. It’s also the CatchMark SportsNet Game of the Week and is scheduled to tip off around 7 p.m.

Yodels Frozen Yogurt will be on-site selling their products with 20 percent of all proceeds going to Tyler and his family.

If you are unable to contribute via one of these avenues, additional donations can be made at the Montague High School office.

Tyler has been at Devos Children’s Hospital since November with a noncompaction cardiomyopathy diagnosis. The life-threatening condition prevents his heart from pumping enough blood to meet his body’s requirements.

After six surgeries, the strong senior is currently waiting for a heart transplant. Tyler is on bypass with a CentriMag pumping the left and right sides of his heart.

Montague High School principal Curt Hansen appreciates any community support and encourages everyone to attend and contribute on Thursday.
