The Reeths-Puffer competitive cheer team once again captured the community’s attention by clinching a 4th-place finish at the Division 2 Regionals on Saturday. This impressive performance earned them a coveted spot among the eight finalists set to vie for the state championship at the upcoming state finals.
A Hard-Earned Achievement
The regional competition proved a fierce battleground, where every team showcased skill, precision, and a passion for the sport. Amid such stiff competition, Reeths-Puffer’s ability to secure 4th place is a testament to their rigorous training, unwavering dedication, and team spirit.
After round 1, Reeth-Puffer was ninth out of 12 teams. The point difference between the Rockets and a spot in the top four was 2.4 points. In round 2, RP scored the fourth-highest total, moving them up to seventh on the day and 1.26 points out of the top four spots. The young ladies again scored the fourth-highest in the third and final round. This was enough to secure their spot in the top four overall.
A Journey of Growth and Resilience
Returning to the state finals for another year, the Reeths-Puffer squad is no stranger to high-level competition. Last year, in the 2024 state finals, the team finished in 8th place, which has only fueled their determination to climb higher this season. The team, which has only three seniors, uses past experiences as stepping stones, striving to perfect their routines and deliver an unforgettable performance when it matters most.
