Despite graduation losses, Pirates still have high hopes after state semifinals run to the Breslin last season.

Hart’s girls basketball team assembled a season for the ages in 2022-23.

The Pirates made a memorable run to the Division 3 state semifinals at the Breslin Center and finished with a spectacular 24-4 record.

Hart suffered some graduation losses, but with their returnees and promising newcomers, hopes are still very high for the Pirates in the 2023-24 season. They tip off the campaign Friday night in Petoskey, where they’ll take on Division 1 Grandville in the Sean Pollion Invitational.

Recently, Hart’s squad visited the CatchMark studio for a media-day session sponsored by Absolute Services. From a photo session to slow-motion, fog-machine video to a podcast, the Pirates had a blast.

Even Mr. Moon made an appearance or two.
