Mike Taylor knows football and he knows how to make people laugh.
The “old coach” was dropping knowledge and prompting some chuckles during his visit on the West Michigan 1st & Ten show Tuesday night in the CatchMark studio.
Taylor, the former Shelby football coach, who these days serves as color commentator for area football games on WLCS-FM 98.3, was special guest on the weekly 1st & Ten show. He joined regulars Jon Russell and Cal VanSingel of the Greater Muskegon Sports Network and CatchMark SportsNet’s Scott DeCamp as they discussed Weeks 8 and 9 of the Muskegon-area football scene and looked ahead to the playoffs.
Using playoff projections by the well-known Snooze2You, the foursome talked about potential matchups for area teams in the first round and beyond.
