Charley Klint had another big game for Whitehall’s girls basketball team, but the Vikings could not overcome a large first-half deficit in a 49-39 nonleague road loss to Ludington on Saturday.
Klint finished with 22 points and eight rebounds for Whitehall, which trailed 20-7 after one quarter and 33-16 at halftime.
The Vikings (3-5 overall) rallied in the third quarter with defensive pressure and pulled within six at one point, but they could not get over the hump.
Autumn Ferris scored all nine of her points in the third quarter for Whitehall, which hosts Mason County Central on Tuesday and visits Shelby on Friday.
Ludington improves to 4-4 on the season.
