NONLEAGUE
MONTAGUE 72, KENT CITY 31: Every Montague player scored in this nonleague tuneup against visiting Kent City. The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday at Kent City, but inclement weather forced it to be postponed and moved to Montague.
Montague jumped out to a 22-11 first-quarter lead and outscored Kent City 35-7 in the second and third quarters combined.
Montague hosts unbeaten North Muskegon Friday in an intriguing WMC nondivisional matchup.
OAKRIDGE 72, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL 36: Host Oakridge built an 18-10 first-quarter lead and extended it by outscoring MCC 41-12 in the second and third quarters combined. The Eagles won for the 10th time in 11 games leading up to Thursday’s WMC Lakes Division showdown at unbeaten Whitehall.

MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 38, ORCHARD VIEW 24: Visiting MCC outscored Orchard View 18-5 in the second half to pull away for the WMC nondivisional victory.
“Solid defensive game for us. We wanted to come out and set the tone. Our guys really bought in tonight on defense. Our team effort was better tonight,” MCC coach Chris VanderHaag said.
“Eathen Huffman had a good game for us tonight. He was a difference-maker in the paint defensively. Cole VanderHaag was solid for us tonight on both ends. He was strong with the ball tonight. OV runs a good uptempo game. And our guards were able to stay in control. It was a good win on the road for us tonight with great team effort from everyone.”
