Fox Fires 75, Ties Record in Montague Jamboree Win

The Wildcats made a statement on Thursday at the WMC Jamboree at Bent Pine. The Wildcats were led by Senior standout Cadence Fox, who tied a Montague program record with a round of 75. That mark ties the school’s all-time low round, previously set by Mackenzie Goudreau (you can read about that round here – https://catchmarksports.com/mackenzie-goudreau-breaks-own-school-record-montague-wins-third-straight-city-golf-title/), one of Montague’s most decorated golfers, who helped set the standard for the program with multiple conference titles, regional success, along with 2 state titles in 2020 and 2021.

Fox’s performance was backed by teammates, Addi Smith, who finished third with a score of 89, while Brynlee Kessler finished seventh at 96. Not far behind was Molly Mulder, who rounded out Montague’s top ten finishes by placing ninth with a 98.

Their effort paid off on the team leaderboard, as Montague pulled away to win the jamboree by an eye-popping 54 strokes.
