District tournament week is delivering drama across the region, with several brackets narrowing toward anticipated heavyweight finals. In Division 1 District 4, the path still points toward a Muskegon–Rockford rematch if both favorites handle unfamiliar semifinal opponents. Division 3 District 73 appears to run through Shelby, though Hart looms as the team with revenge history. Division 2 District 35 at Cadillac feels wide open, but a Fremont–Big Rapids title clash could emerge if experience holds. In Division 2 District 42, Spring Lake remains the team to beat, likely setting up a showdown with Whitehall if chalk prevails. And in Division 3 District 69 at Glen Lake, Kingsley and Manistee look positioned to survive and advance, setting the stage for a final between two of the bracket’s most balanced teams.
District 4 — Muskegon
Where: Mona Shores Sailor Center
When: Starts Monday, Mar. 2 and runs through Friday, Mar. 6
- Mona Shores
- Reeths Puffer
- Greenville
- Cedar Springs
- Rockford
- Muskegon

Division 1 District 4 sets up two intriguing semifinal matchups Wednesday, as Muskegon faces Cedar Springs and Rockford takes on Greenville — and notably, neither pairing has met during the regular season. That unfamiliarity adds another layer of unpredictability. Rockford brings significant postseason pedigree after reaching the state finals last year, while Muskegon enters with motivation after falling to Rockford in last season’s district tournament. Expect both favorites to lean on experience, but with no head-to-head history this winter, early adjustments and composure could decide who advances to what many anticipate could be another Muskegon–Rockford showdown.
District 74 — Kent City
Where: Kent City High School (The Nest)
When: Starts Monday, Mar. 2 and runs through Friday, Mar. 6
- Western Michigan Christian
- North Muskegon
- Ravenna
- Kent City

District 74 is a four team bracket, so everyone gets a bye and it jumps straight to the semis with Kent City vs North Muskegon and Western Michigan Christian vs Ravenna. Kent City looks favored after a strong season and a win over Ravenna 53-43, while North Muskegon is 11-9 and has already lost to both WMC 54-26 and Ravenna 53-33. The game to watch is WMC vs Ravenna since WMC won the first meeting 40-28, but Ravenna brings the better record at 14-6, making them the most likely upset threat.
District 73 — White Cloud
Where: White Cloud High School (White Cloud)
When: Starts Monday, Mar. 4 and runs through Friday, Mar. 6
- Shelby
- Hesperia
- Holton
- Hart
- White Cloud

Division 3 District 73 at White Cloud still runs through Shelby (18-2), and the Tigers have already shown they can win in this field with regular-season victories over Holton (52-42, 59-12) and host White Cloud (48-43). Holton advanced with a tough 40-34 overtime win over Hesperia, setting up a bracket where the matchup to watch remains Shelby vs. Hart—especially after last year’s district semifinal, when Hart knocked out Shelby 41-27 before reaching the district final and falling to Sanford Meridian 45-40. Adding intrigue, Hart has not played White Cloud this season, so if the host Wildcats can use home-court energy to push their way into that side of the bracket, they could create a matchup nobody has a clean read on.
District 35 — Cadillac
Where: Cadillac High School
When: Starts Monday, Mar. 2 and runs through Friday, Mar. 6
- Ludington
- Big Rapids
- Reed City
- Fremont
- Cadillac
- Newaygo

Division 2 District 35 at Cadillac is as wide open as it gets, with Ludington, Fremont, and Big Rapids all looking like title-capable teams. Ludington advanced by rolling Reed City 56-32 and now faces Big Rapids in a matchup they haven’t seen this season, while Fremont meets Cadillac in another pairing with no regular-season meeting. Ludington and Fremont split their season series, proving they’re close if they meet again, and there’s also last year’s backdrop: Big Rapids edged Ludington 46-38 in overtime in the district semis, but Fremont beat Big Rapids in the district final, then pushed to the regional final before falling to Gladstone 49-31.
District 42 — Orchard View
Where: Orchard View High School
When: Starts Monday, Mar. 2 and runs through Friday, Mar. 6
- Oakridge
- Orchard View
- Whitehall
- Montague
- Fruitport
- Spring Lake

District 42 at Orchard View shapes up with Spring Lake (13-7) as the team everyone is chasing, especially after opening with a dominant 61-24 win over Fruitport. Orchard View advanced by rallying past Montague 53-44 behind Elixis Scott’s 22 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 blocks, and now faces Spring Lake in a semifinal matchup the two teams didn’t get to play during the regular season. On the other side, Whitehall has the edge against Oakridge after sweeping them in the season series, but the matchup to circle is a potential Whitehall vs. Fruitport rematch — especially since Whitehall already played Fruitport and lost 45-33.
District 69 — Glen Lake
Where: Glen Lake (Big Gym) – Maple City
When: Starts Monday, Mar. 2 and runs through Friday, Mar. 6
- Kingsley
- Traverse City St Francis
- Mason County Central
- Maple City Glen Lake
- Manistee
- Benzie Central

District 69 at Maple City Glen Lake is setting up with two clear semifinal storylines after Monday’s openers. Traverse City St. Francis advanced in convincing fashion, pulling away from Mason County Central for a 61-33 win behind 18 points each from Kaylee Eising and Harper Nausodis, and now gets Kingsley in a semifinal the Glads will have to survive to reach the final. In the nightcap, Manistee beat Benzie Central 57-41 in a game that was tied at halftime before the Mariners’ defense-to-offense burst created separation, led by Avamae Fett’s 18 points. That sets up Wednesday with Kingsley vs. St. Francis (5:30) and Glen Lake vs. Manistee (7:00), with the most likely path to the title running through a Kingsley–Manistee collision — but Glen Lake’s home floor and Manistee’s ability to turn steals into points make the bottom bracket anything but comfortable.
