Cold, wind, rain and even snow be damned, the 2022 high school spring sports season is underway in Michigan.

CatchMark SportsNet is ready to provide a bunch of great content in the spring sports season. Again, our focus will be on the West Michigan Conference. There is a smattering of events going on this week and next, then activities will take a brief hiatus for spring break week (April 4-9).

The CSN spring sports content lineup will be jam-packed when action resumes in earnest after spring break.

This spring, we’ll continue with the “Profile of the Week” and “CSN Podcast,” just as we have in the fall and winter sports seasons. You can also expect to see a daily scoreboard, stat leaderboards, league standings, select livestreams and other fixtures, such as “Competition of the Week” and “Performance of the Week.”

New this spring is a weekly feature called “Hot Seat,” in which we will interview an athlete from the conference on video in a rapid-fire, fun format.

Additionally, we’ll pick up game and event coverage here and there. You never know when and where you might see us, but we’ll be in your communities.

On Wednesday, Whitehall’s girls soccer team began the coach Adam Prince era with a 6-1 loss at Coopersville. See the photo gallery above for images from that contest. Also, Montague’s baseball team dropped a tough 3-2 decision on the road against Mona Shores.

With all the excitement of spring sports taking place, don’t think we have forgotten about putting a fitting cap on the winter sports season. Just like the fall sports season, CSN will bring you the VanDyk Mortgage West Michigan Conference Players of the Year for winter sports. More on that to come very soon.

WE NEED YOUR HELP, COACHES!

In order to continue providing comprehensive coverage, we need help.

Varsity coaches from the West Michigan Conference: On the day or night your contests are played, please email your scores, stats and highlights to sports@catchmarkit.com.
