Charley Klint’s power kill wins CatchMark Play of the Week (Nov. 1 – 6)

Klint tallies 112 votes to earn No. 1 spot in the poll

After the poll closed Friday afternoon, voters have determined that Charley Klint’s kill was CatchMark’s Play of the Week. This is Charley’s first Play of the Week nomination this season. The Whitehall Volleyball standout was one of four talented seniors for the Vikings.

Klint slammed down a kill in the district final game against Fruitport last week which powered Whitehall to a third set win and to it’s second consecutive district championship. The talented outside hitter finished the game with six kills and has been a strong contributor for the Vikings all season.

Charley’s dynamic ability has been a valuable asset for a skilled group of “volleyball first” kids according to coach Ted Edsall. Klint’s strengths allow her to pack-a-punch offensively while remaining a key component of Whitehall’s defense as well.

The timely highlight received 66.7% of the total vote, landing her in the number one spot. Montague’s Dylan Everett followed with a runner-up finish and 30.4% of the total vote.

If you wish to nominate a Play of the Week for Nov. 8-13, then email Zach Zweigle at zzweigle@catchmarkit.com by no later than noon Monday, Nov. 15.
