WHITEHALL — It wasn’t a question whether or not Ludington’s boys tennis team would win Monday’s Coastal Conference tournament at Whitehall.

“By how much?” was the question.

Ludington, the highest-ranked public school in the Michigan High School Tennis Coaches Association Division 4 poll at No. 4, has been that dominant this season.

It was more of the same in the Coastal Conference tourney, which was originally scheduled for Saturday but the tourney was moved because of inclement weather. Monday brought sunshine and comfortable conditions as well as more Orioles dominance.

Ludington won titles in seven of the eight flights and racked up 37 total points as a team. Whitehall and Western Michigan Christian tied for second with 24 points apiece, while North Muskegon was fourth (21) and Grant fifth (14).

Next up for these tennis teams is regional play later this week.
