MUSKEGON — Drew Hackney has changed a lot since he burst onto the scene as a diminutive freshman tennis standout three seasons ago.

Now a Mona Shores senior, Hackney stands about 6-foot-1.

What has not changed for Hackney is that he’s still dominating. On Saturday, he won his fourth straight Greater Muskegon Athletic Association title at No. 1 singles and led Mona Shores to the team championship.

Hackney defeated North Muskegon junior Luke Hall in the No. 1 singles finals, 6-0, 6-0. The Sailors swept all four singles flights and won two of the four doubles flights en route to a runaway victory.

Mona Shores totaled 45 points, followed by runner-up Reeths-Puffer with 31 and third-place Whitehall with 30. Western Michigan Christian (26), North Muskegon (25), and Fruitport (11) rounded out the field.
