District baseball: Fruitport captures title as Whitehall, Oakridge fall in semifinals

Fruitport’s baseball team captured a Division 2 district title Saturday with a 12-3 win over rival Spring Lake in the finals on Whitehall’s field.

In the semifinals, Fruitport beat Oakridge, 3-0, and Spring Lake defeated Whitehall, 8-3.

Reed City beat Hart, 10-0 in five innings, to claim the Division 3 district title Saturday at Mason County Central.

SEMIFINALS

In the semifinals, Reed City edged Mason County Central, 3-2, and Hart beat Evart, 10-8.
