‘Hot Seat:’ Fremont sophomore soccer standout has goals — and she’s scored many of them

Mia Clemence is on a tear this season and she keeps it rolling in rapid-fire interview with CatchMark’s Tate Stine.

FREMONT — CatchMark SportsNet’s Tate Stine recently met with Fremont sophomore soccer standout Mia Clemence, who is the leading goal-scorer in the West Michigan Conference.

During the fast-paced interview, Clemence was asked a series of questions about soccer and to get to know more about her. Clemence was also asked about a personal goal she has for her athletic career.

The three-sport athlete has a very specific goal in soccer: Clemence told Stine that she wants to be her school’s all-time leading goal scorer.

At the time of her interview with Stine, Clemence had scored in every single game this season except for one. Her top performance was a four-goal effort against Grant earlier in the season.

Clemence and the Packers are scheduled to travel today to Reed City, where they’ll look to improve their overall record and Clemence’s season goal-scoring tally.
