The weekly show, co-hosted by Jon Russell and Mike Taylor, became popular in the eight years of its duration on WLCS-FM 98.3. After going quiet for more than a year, it’s back on the air — in video, and before a live audience.
The VanDyk Mortgage Power Hour will have its second show tonight (Thursday, Dec. 16) at North Grove Brewers, 8735 Water St. in Montague. North Grove, a title sponsor along with VanDyk Mortgage, will be hosting the show each week at 6 p.m. Thursday.
On the second show of the Power Hour’s return, Russell and Taylor will be on the stage at North Grove. They’ll be joined by special guest, Mark Konecny.
Konecny is a Mona Shores alumni that played quarterback for their football team in the early 80’s. Following his high school graduation, Konecy earned a running back position for Alma College in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association football league. Later, he continued his football career in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles and became the first player from the MIAA to play professional football.
