Kicking off ‘Battle for the Bell’ week with look back at Montague-Whitehall rivalry video

The Montague vs. Whitehall rivalry is among the oldest in Michigan high school football history.

This coming Friday (Sept. 16, 2022), the Wildcats will cross the bridge and visit the Vikings in the latest installment of the “Battle for the Bell.” It will be the 116th meeting in the all-time series. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Whitehall’s football field.

It’s the North Grove Brewers West Michigan Conference Game of the Week, meaning CatchMark SportsNet will produce a free, high-level livestream as part of our comprehensive coverage.

Montague leads the all-time series, 64-49-2, but Whitehall won back the bell last season with a 34-14 victory on its home field.
