Mike Taylor tells tales of Nate McLouth, Michigan football and more on CSN Podcast

We recap Whitehall’s and Oakridge’s strong playoff runs, and many other football-related topics.

They don’t make better storytellers than Mike Taylor.

Some of his stories are even true!

The former Shelby High School head football coach, who also made stops at University of Michigan and Western Michigan University, was guest this week on the CatchMark SportsNet Podcast.

Taylor joined co-hosts Scott DeCamp and Ken Byard on Episode 13 of Season 2 of the CSN Podcast, which was recorded Monday and published today (Thursday, Nov. 17).

It’s the final pod of the 2022 fall sports season. No worries, though — we’ll be back for the 2022-23 winter sports season.

Football was at the heart of the discussion in Episode 13. Taylor, DeCamp and Byard chatted about Whitehall’s and Oakridge’s regional finals games as well as other notable playoff results and upcoming matchups.

Taylor shared an excellent anecdote about coaching against former Whitehall great Nate McLouth, as well as some of his memories serving on the staffs at U-M and WMU, among other stops.
