Muskegon-area volleyball teams prepare for districts: Matchups, schedules and locations

Muskegon-area volleyball teams prepare to enter the postseason next week. District matchups, game times and locations are listed below.

Brackets and schedules below come from the Michigan High School Athletic Association website.

DIVISION 1

Reeths-Puffer takes on Grand Haven Monday, Nov. 1, at 6 p.m. at Mona Shores High School. Mona Shores takes on Muskegon at 5 p.m. Wednesday followed by the R-P/Grand Haven winner taking on Coopersville at 7 p.m. Monday. The district final is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday.

DIVISION 2

Manistee battles Kingsley in the first round at Manistee High School on Monday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m. The winner advances to play Kalkaska on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Ludington awaits the winner of Cadillac and Boyne City for a semifinal game that will take place on Wednesday at 5 p.m. The district finals will take place on Friday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m.

Orchard View matches up with Fruitport on Monday, Nov. 1, at 5 p.m. at Spring Lake High School. At 7 p.m. Monday, Montague and Spring Lake square off. Oakridge and Whitehall have first-round byes. They’ll play in semifinal contests at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively. The district final is set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4.

Grant will play Fremont on Monday, Nov. 1, at 6 p.m. in a first-round matchup at Sparta High School. Newaygo and Sparta go head-to-head on Wednesday at 5 p.m. for a spot in the championship game. Howard City Tri County will follow at 7 p.m. against the winner of Grant and Fremont. The district finals will take place on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 6 p.m.

DIVISION 3

Holton hosts Mason County Central on Monday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. in a first-round district matchup. The winner will advance to take on Hesperia in the semifinal on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Neighboring rivals Shelby and Hart face off before that game at 5:30 p.m. The district finals will take place on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.

Kent City battles Lakeview on Monday, Nov. 1, at 6 p.m. The winner will advance to play Ravenna on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Morley Stanwood and White Cloud battle it out just before that in the other semifinal game at 6 p.m Wednesday. The finals will be on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.

North Muskegon will host Fennville on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 5:30 p.m. Western Michigan Christian will play the winner of Saugatuck and Holland Black River on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. The finals will take place on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 6 p.m.

DIVISION 4

At Muskegon Catholic Central, Pentwater plays Muskegon Heights on Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 5 p.m. MCC and Fruitport Calvary Christian will follow at 7 p.m. The finals will take place on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.
