North Muskegon-Whitehall girls soccer clash picked CSN Competition of Week (April 18-23)

North Muskegon’s girls soccer team is coming off two tough nonleague losses to Spring Lake and Harbor Springs over the weekend.

Until proven otherwise, however, the defending Division 4 state champion Norse reign supreme in the West Michigan Conference. Whitehall (1-3 overall, 1-0 WMC) will get a chance to knock off North Muskegon (4-2, 1-0) at 6:45 p.m. Thursday on the Vikings’ field. The clash has been selected the CatchMark SportsNet Competition of the Week for April 18-23.

Before their matchup, the Vikings and Norse have some business to address. On Tuesday, North Muskegon hosts Montague and Whitehall visits Ravenna.

In last week’s first CSN Competition of the Week of the spring sports season, Whitehall’s girls soccer team defeated Montague, 4-0.
