On the fly: Kent City Elite Invitational picked as new CSN Competition of Week (April 25-30)

Kent City may be outside of CatchMark SportNet’s defined coverage area, but not when it hosts a number of the West Michigan Conference’s track and field teams in an attractive invite.

That’s the plan Friday, when Kent City welcomes Hart, Montague, Oakridge, Ravenna and Whitehall, plus a slew of other teams, in the Kent City Elite Invitational. Field events and the 4×800-meter relay begin at 3:30 p.m. with all other events to follow.

With Tuesday’s Hart-Whitehall track dual postponed because of inclement weather, the Kent City Elite Invitational is now the CSN Competition of the Week for April 25-30.

In last week’s CSN Competition of the Week, North Muskegon’s girls soccer team beat host Whitehall, 2-0.
