MUSKEGON — Ten teams from Muskegon County, six of them from the West Michigan Conference, competed in the 2022 Greater Muskegon Athletic Association volleyball tournament Saturday at Reeths-Puffer.
In the finals, top-seeded Mona Shores defeated third-seeded Montague in a competitive match, 25-17, 26-28, 26-24, 25-14.
Montague beat second-seeded North Muskegon in a three-set nail-biter in the tourney semifinals, 11-25, 25-18, 16-14. In the other semifinal, Mona Shores defeated Fruitport, 25-17, 25-17.
