Replay: Montague’s all-state ‘Haybale’ rolls up to ‘Coaches Corner’

Hayden McDonald discusses former player influences, leadership components

Alongside of his teammate Dylan “Housecat” Everett, Montague’s 6-foot-3 all-state linemen Hayden McDonald has a nickname of his own.

The standout center and defensive end, Hayden “Haybale” McDonald joins Coach Justin Dennett and host Zach Zweigle as a special guest on the weekly “Coaches Corner” show for a week 6 recap of their 70-0 win against Shelby.

“Haybale” discusses being part of a program that’s had ample success and the key components of bouncing back and sticking together as a team. He sheds insight into some of the influences that have made him the player that he is today.

The Wildcat power-house has notched 20 tackles on the season and continues to be one of the area’s leading linemen.

Coach Dennett gives an update on the team’s injury status and his thoughts on a potential Week 7 bye for the Wildcats. In addition, he touches on the upcoming battle of the bell game against Whitehall.

Montague’s record is 5-1 overall and 5-0 in the West Michigan Conference.
