Here are our top five must-watch football games for the week

Top 5 Must-Watch Football Games

Number 5: Montague V Manistee

Both of these teams have struggled thus far this year. This game will be the launch point for a run at the post season with both squads on the bubble!

Number 4: Byron Center V Muskegon

Another post season launcher. Muskegon will be looking to get a win here to gain some momentum and finish out with a playoff run. Byron Center will be looking to use this one as a starting point for a successful post season.

Number 3: Mason County Central V Shelby

A little bit of a rivalry here. MCC will be looking to use this win for some momentum into the post season. They are currently harboring a successful season and have a great shot at some post season success. It starts here for the Spartans.

Number 2: Ravenna V Oakridge

This one is the RIVALRY for these two teams. Prior to the realignment, this game was always a conference matchup for the ages. This will be a hard fought game for two teams that are currently on the playoff bubble.

Number 1: Mona Shores V Reeths-Puffer

Conference chip time! RP will be looking to spoil Mona Shores perfect year while the sailors will be looking to claim this years OK Green Conference championship. RP needs this one to make a playoff berth.

Top Area Highlights

Number 5: Montague Football Wins Thrilling Shootout Over Fremont, 70-64

In an electrifying clash, Montague High School’s football team emerged victorious in a high-scoring shootout against Fremont. The game was a nail-biter from start to finish, showcasing incredible offensive talent on both sides. Montague’s explosive plays and tenacity on the field ultimately secured their win, leaving fans on the edge of their seats. This victory boosts Montague’s momentum as they look ahead to the remainder of the season.

Number 4: Whitehall and North Muskegon Clinch Division Championships

Both teams were undefeated in the conference action this season. North Muskegon Defeated Ravenna for their finale of the season, while Whitehall took on Ludington, winning that one handedly.

Number 3: Whitehall Tennis Heads Back to State Since 2019

After a five-year absence, Whitehall’s tennis team is making a return to the state tournament. This will be the first time since 2019. Stay tuned for updates from the CatchMark SportsNet Crew come Monday and Tuesday!

Number 2: WMC Cross Country Dominates GMAA Tournament

WMC cross country teams made a significant impact at the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association (GMAA) tournament, with both boys’ and girls’ teams taking home top honors.

Number 1: Reeths-Puffer Claims Girls’ Golf GMAA Tournament Title

In a competitive field, Reeths-Puffer’s girls’ golf team claimed victory at the GMAA tournament. Their consistent performance throughout the day led them to this win. A significant achievement for the team as they gear up for the next stage of their season, aiming to continue their success in the state finals.
