Number 4: Whitehall XC
Whitehall XC qualified two girls runners and one boys runner. Stewart Waters for the boys qualified running a time of 15:48.73. On the girls side, Cami Kraai and Adalyn Britton qualified with times of 19:49.55 and 19:14.93.
Number 3: Montague XC
Montague XC finishes with three athletes qualifying for the state meet on Saturday! Noah Raeth, Alex Draves and Nolan Kessler will all run on Saturday!
Number 2: Matthias Morse, Western Michigan Christian
Western Michigan Christian senior Matthias Morse claimed first place at Saturday’s Division 3 regional cross country meet, finishing the course in an impressive 16:02.79. Morse’s stellar performance helped lead the Warriors to a second-place team finish and secured them a spot in the state finals at Michigan International Speedway next weekend.
Number 1: Logan Werschem, Fruitport Soccer
The senior goalkeeper was unstoppable, leading his team to victory over Marquette last week and making a clutch save in a shootout against Forest Hills Eastern. Werschem capped off his high school career with an impressive 27 shutouts over two seasons as the starting keeper.
