HART — It won’t go in the books as the prettiest of games, but Hart’s girls basketball team is not going to apologize for a hard-fought victory over a conference rival.
In a battle of defensive-minded teams, Hart held off visiting Montague Tuesday night, 37-36, in the CatchMark SportsNet Game of the Week.
The Pirates improve to 5-0 in the West Michigan Conference and 6-1 overall, while the Wildcats are now 4-1 and 5-2, respectively.
The rematch is Feb. 27 at Montague, which has finished ahead of Hart for the league title each of the last two seasons.
