WMC girls basketball: Hart remains undefeated; MCC, Oakridge start the week hot

Montague, Whitehall, and North Muskegon all suffer league losses

HART 37, MONTAGUE 36: The Pirates escape with a one-point margin victory over the Wildcats in their home gymnasium to remain undefeated in the West Michigan Conference. Hart led by 10 points in both the 2nd and 3rd quarters, but Montague was able to tie the game up in the fourth. Down the stretch, the Pirates held strong and walked away with a victory.

OAKRIDGE 47, NORTH MUSKEGON 34: At North Muskegon, a hot first quarter led to a 27-11 halftime advantage for an improving Oakridge team. The Eagles remained diligent through the remainder of the game to carry out the victory.

MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 41, WHITEHALL 35: After a slow start, the host Vikings trailed 12 points in the second quarter. They battled back to take the lead moving into the fourth, but the Spartans made some big shots down the stretch to pull away with the victory.
