WHITEHALL — Dan Beckeman spent 29 years as Reeths-Puffer’s principal and even longer as an administrator, educator and coach going back to his days at Grant.
The Whitehall native, alumnus and resident is retired now, but he’s still making his presence felt in many ways, including as president of the Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame board of directors.
Beckeman brought a lot to the discussion Monday afternoon (Feb. 20, 2023) as guest on the Season 3 Episode 9 of the CatchMark Sports Podcast.
Beckeman joined co-hosts Scott DeCamp, Ken Byard and Cody Kater for the live show. They discussed many topics, including Beckeman’s viewpoints on educational athletics and some of his fondest memories going back to his days coaching outstanding Grant basketball teams that faced Montague back in the day.
