West Michigan Conference Football Preview 2024: Oakridge Eagles Season Outlook

Setting Sail for a Season of Redemption

Fall has arrived in Michigan, and with it, the heart-pounding excitement of high school football season. The stage is set, the players are primed, and the Oakridge Eagles are ready for takeoff.

After a successful campaign last year, the Eagles are ready to get out and rolling again this year. Going 4-2 in the league and 7-4 overall, Oakridge ran successful course. With their losses coming at the hands of some good overall squads.

The team will look to continue the success into this season. However, they will have many of hurdles to jump. One of which will be the loss of some critical players. Trevor Jones, Julian Primmer, and Brody Jennings are all included in that previous years graduating class.

Even with that said, the team will still include the junior receiving and rushing powerhouse that is Bryson Stephenson. He will most likely continue to be the key to their success this year. Last year they took down some tough opponents which included a great Belding team. A team that averaged 40.7 points per game up until their matchup.

Similar to many others in West Michigan, the Eagles first matchup will take place on Thursday, August 29th, 2024. They will face Aaron James and his Orchard View Cardinals, who are almost a whole new team.
