Ludington, Hart turn up the defense; Oakridge handles rival OV.

It was a rather light night of West Michigan Conference basketball Friday. A handful of girls games took place across the area.

LUDINGTON 29, WHITEHALL 7: Visiting Ludington turned up the defense, allowing only two Whitehall field goals in the game, and remained unbeaten in WMC Lakes Division play.

OAKRIDGE 43, ORCHARD VIEW 21: Visiting Oakridge jumped out to an 18-2 first-quarter lead and cruised to the WMC Lakes Division win over rival Orchard View.

HART 63, NORTH MUSKEGON 17: Hart’s anticipatory, trapping pressure defense caused North Muskegon fits from the start, as the host Pirates swiped 14 steals in the opening quarter and raced out to a 27-4 lead to remain unbeaten. Hart sophomore Addi Hovey missed a triple-doubled by one steal.
