WMC girls basketball: Holton rallies past North Muskegon in OT; Mason County Central wins

COMING WEDNESDAY: West Michigan Conference girls basketball stat leaders!

It was a light night for West Michigan Conference girls basketball teams in nonleague action Monday.

At North Muskegon, the host Norse dropped an overtime heartbreaker to future conference rival Holton. Meanwhile, Mason County Central pulled away for a home win over White Cloud.

Here are details from those two games played Jan. 31, 2022:

HOLTON 48, NORTH MUSKEGON 43 (OT): At North Muskegon, the visiting Red Devils used a 19-8 fourth-quarter scoring advantage to send the game to overtime, where they won it by outscoring the hosts 7-2 in the extra session. Next season, Holton and North Muskegon will be conference rivals, as the Red Devils join the West Michigan Conference beginning in the 2022-23 school year.

Abbie Fowler 9 points, 7 assists, 7 steals

MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 34, WHITE CLOUD 20: At Mason County Central, the host Spartans pulled away in the fourth quarter with a 15-5 scoring run in this nonleague matchup.
