MONTAGUE 38, WHITEHALL 25: At Whitehall, the rivalry reconvened between the Vikings and the visiting Wildcats. After winning their Dec. 14 matchup 45-27, Montague was looking to complete the sweep.
A gritty battle in the first quarter left a 12-11 advantage in the Vikings’ favor. The Wildcat defense turned it up a notch to shutout Whitehall in the second quarter and turn the tables resulting in a 19-12 Montague advantage at the break.
Down the stretch, Montague cleaned up their game to outscore Whitehall 19-13 in the second half. The Wildcat defense was the difference maker once again as they picked up their eighth league win.
