Whitehall Wrestling Celebrates Senior Night with Two Big Wins

Whitehall honored its seniors with two dominant home conference victories, routing Hesperia 65–12 and Ravenna 77–6.

Whitehall stacked points with pins and forfeits. Dom Zygmuntowski, Kolten Weiler, Liam Leeke and Tanner Woodworth each recorded two pins. Max Krukowski added a pin and a tech fall. Cody Manzo, Robert Belinger and Colten Kyser each earned a pin and a forfeit win, and Easton Wisniewski pinned his only opponent.

Hart Tri-Meet: Hart, North Muskegon Roll

Hart hosted a tri-meet featuring Manistee, North Muskegon and Hart, and both Hart and North Muskegon posted lopsided wins.

  • North Muskegon 72, Manistee 5
  • Hart 78, Manistee 3
  • Hart 73, North Muskegon 5

Montague Seniors Shine on Home Mat

Montague celebrated Senior Night, falling to Mason County Central 45–30, then defeating Whitehall B 59–23. Several Wildcat seniors turned in strong performances in their final home action of the season.

Reeths-Puffer Goes 2-0 at East Kentwood Quad

Reeths-Puffer earned two wins Wednesday at the East Kentwood Quad:

  • R-P 46, Jenison 31 (O-K Green)
  • R-P 36, Grandville 34 (non-conference)

Five Rockets finished 2-0: Hunter Eek, Tanner Cowles, Landon Learn, Travis Henderson and Devin Welch.

Shelby Milestone: Jaylin Henderson Hits 100 Career Wins

Shelby’s Jaylin Henderson reached 100 career victories Wednesday night at the Holton Quad.

Montague Takes 7th at Randy Jacobs Memorial Duals

Montague finished 7th at the Randy Jacobs Memorial Duals, going 2-3 against a strong field.

Team results:

  • Grand Rapids Northview: 41–42 (tie-breaker criteria)
  • Spring Lake: 16–60
  • North Muskegon: 65–18
  • Otsego: 27–53
  • Holton: 41–37

Individual highlights:

  • Fletcher Thommen (150): 4-1, 3 pins + 1 tech fall — earned his 150th career win (5th wrestler in Montague history to reach 150)
  • Gavyn Maddox (144): 4-1, 3 pins + 1 major decision
  • Isaac French (175/190): 4-1, 3 pins + 1 major decision
  • Maverick Osborne (285): 4-1, 4 pins, including a 22-second fall
  • Michael Jones (165): 3-2, 3 wins by fall
  • Kenneth Heaton (175/190): 3-1

Ludington Splits at Whitehall Quad

Ludington went 1-1 in a quad at Whitehall:

  • Ludington 38, Ravenna 18
    Winners included Laela Rice, Brody Schnell, Taylin Carlisle, Wayne Uerling, Owen Young, Patrick Carsten, Corning Duffield and Chase Gable.
  • Hesperia 59, Ludington 11
    Wins for Ludington: Brody Schnell and Taylin Carlisle.

North Muskegon Girls Place 5th at Hamilton Tournament

North Muskegon girls placed 5th out of 18 teams at a tournament in Hamilton.

Hardware finishers:

  • Audra Allen – 2nd
  • Kelsie VanderVelde – 2nd
  • Jaden Reagan – 4th
  • Addysen Chase – 4th
    Also scoring a win: Mackenzie Crawford.

North Muskegon Boys: Win at Montague

North Muskegon boys competed at Montague with wins from Tayden Fotis, Will Bahorski, Gavin Quarry, Stan Usmial, Kellen Miller and AJ Darnell.
