WHITEHALL — Fred Inglis is proof-positive it’s never too late to find your niche in life and that you can always come home.
The Shelby native wound up making quite the career for himself as a two-time Emmy Award-winning sportscaster in California.
Eventually, he landed back in Shelby. Now, he’s coaching boys golf at his alma mater.
On Monday (April 24, 2023), Inglis visited with co-hosts Scott DeCamp, Cody Kater and Tate Stine on Season 4 Episode 5 of the CatchMark Sports Podcast.
The foursome discussed Inglis’ road to KTVU-2 in Oakland, his ability to network and foster relationships with stars such as Jerry Rice, and his fond memories of growing up in Shelby.
